A Star Math (“the App”) is developed and operated by A Star Learner (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account we collect:

• Email address — used for account creation and login.
• Display name — shown on your profile and the leaderboard.
• User ID — a unique identifier assigned by our authentication system.

When you use the App we automatically collect:

• Quiz progress and scores — stored to track your learning progress.
• XP, streaks, and achievements — stored to support gamification features.

You may also use the App without creating an account. In guest mode your progress is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App’s features and functionality.
• Save and sync your learning progress across devices.
• Display your name on the in-app leaderboard (if you opt in).
• Respond to support requests.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud-hosted database with row-level security (RLS) enabled. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and encrypted in transit. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Expo / React Native — app framework (no data collected by the framework).

We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or third-party data brokers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party.

5. Children’s Privacy

A Star Math is rated 4+ and is designed for learners of all ages, including children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. Children may use the App in guest mode without providing any personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information without consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@astarlearner.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date above.
